An independent editorial desk
China Big Tech Watch is edited by an independent research desk focused on organization, product, AI adoption, workforce policy, and overseas operating signals from China's internet companies. The desk is not presented as an employee, representative, or official spokesperson for any company covered by the site.
We use the collective byline China Big Tech Watch Editorial Desk rather than inventing individual credentials. Questions, source clarifications, and correction requests can be sent to [email protected].
How a page reaches publication
Short tips are checked against the previous two months of records, screened for privacy and business relevance, and labeled by verification status. They remain in the searchable homepage feed instead of receiving individual indexable pages.
Search-facing analysis requires multiple related signals, a clear business mechanism, original interpretation, public context where available, and a written test for what evidence would confirm or weaken the conclusion. Thin or automated archive pages are excluded from search and advertising.
Corrections and independence
The site does not accept payment for favorable coverage and does not sell placement inside the intelligence feed. Advertising, when enabled, is kept separate from editorial decisions.
When later evidence changes a recorded signal, we update, merge, clarify, or remove it. The Corrections page explains how to request review of a factual statement or privacy concern.
